Scary films not so scary anymore! Too many horror films not living up to the viewers expectations.
It will be better if you spend your money at a horror maze then spend it on a scary movie this Halloween.
Too many scary movies this decade have not been living up to their expectations.
The movie “My Bloody Valentine in 3-D was considered the 15th worst scary movie this year according to www.omghorror.com.”
I was expecting a good thriller with the new eye jumping features that would make the movie better. It failed to lure the audience to its movie by bad reviews.
“What really leaps out at you about My Bloody Valentine is the lack of imagination according to www.Metacritic.com/film/titles/mybloodyvalentine.”
Majority of these movies all have the same story lines making them not as interesting to watch. These movie companies are smart by making their trailers look amazing, catching the viewers eye encouraging the movie goer pay for their movies.
Scary movies these days are not using the suspense anymore like those that came before them. For example, Freddy Cougar this old movie built up that suspense making you think what will happen next with the scary music, to people screaming and views of character planning to do something.
That is was a scary movie making you sit at the edge of you seat, bitting your nails until you get to your skin.
These movies nowadays go straight into the graphic and killing scenes making the movie look good from the get go but it wont last long.
The only reasons why the Saws, the Freddy Vs. Jason, etc., are doing ok this decade is due to the technology that is put into these movies making them seem look real life action.
Saw is a movie that been around a lot this century with numerous movies that were good. The director [James Wan] has come up different scenarios killing people in the movie that has change from all his series. Saw is probably the only movie this decade still holding the title of the top scary movie.
Another top movie this fall is “Paranormal Activity directed by Oren Peli.”
