Baseball gets important win

The Pierce College baseball team beat Valley College at Joe Kelly field today 15-10.

The Brahmas quickly erased a 2-0 defecit in the first, scoring nine runs of their own off of Monarch starter Chase Munoz.

Travis Forbes got the scoring started with a two run home run.

Carlos Gonzalez started on the mound from the Brahmas, going six innings and allowing five runs.

All Pierce starters had at least one hit except for Christian Ornelas, who went 0 for 5.

Nick Rodarte went 4 for 4 with a home run and five RBI’s.

Other contributers were Zachary Wagner (three RBI’s), Forbes (three), David Whetstone (one), Zack Gilula (one), and Ryan Merrill (one).
