First home win for men’s basketball
The Pierce College men’s basketball team took a quick lead against College of the Canyons on Nov. 19 to win their first home game, 74-66.
Pierce to participate in historic earthquake drill
Pierce College will be participating in the Great Southern California Shakeout, the largest earthquake preparedness drill in U.S. history, tomorrow at 10 a.m. There are 2.5 million participants so far in the ShakeOut Drill. 279 businesses and164 schools just in the greater metropolitan Los Angeles area are participating in the ShakeOut Drill, including the Los Angeles Unified School District.
El Camino serves Pierce a its 3rd loss in men’s volleyball, putting standing at 6-3
After being continuously drowned by thudering ins and spikes at El Camino College on March 5, Brahmas men’s volleyball team came home defeated 3-0. Pierce College came close to winning the first set but came short of three, and ECC led at 30-27. “We looked past them, never really paid attention (to the team),” Brahmas team captain Steve Umemoto said.
