First victory of the season
The Pierce College Brahmas got their first victory of the season Saturday, beating East Los Angeles College 28-15 and bringing Pierce to 1-3 for the season and 1-0 in conference play. The Brahmas came into Saturday’s game 0-3, but two days before the game, coach Efrain Martinez said what he wants when the team takes the field.
Farm gets a facelift
The Pierce College farm area is currently undergoing a construction project with a $2.7 million budget. Construction began on July 28 and will continue until the middle to the end of February. The equestrian area will experience many additions, and Pierce’s animal residents will receive new homes.
Strength in numbers sends Brahmas to home blowout
The women’s soccer team blew out Citrus 5-0 at Pierce on Friday, improving their record to 8-2-2.

Scoring five goals total, the women’s soccer team defeated Citrus College with the highest amount of goals scored since the Sept. 2 game against Oxnard College, which Pierce won, 5-3.
