The Pierce College women's soccer team has won more than 100 games in just under six seasons, a feat for any team, and one that should be recognized by a school not always known for its athletic domination. The women's soccer program started in 2001 and now has recorded its 103 victory in its first 135 games.
Bakersfield College held Pierce College's Women's soccer team to a 0-0 tie on Friday. The Brahmas had plenty of scoring chances in the first half, but they could not put in the back of the net. "We are frustrated and had our opportunities," said Coach Adolfo Perez.
Pierce College's football team was once again defeated in the hands of an undefeated Glendale Community College squad. The Vaqueros ran wild on the Brahmas defense, or lack there of, ending in a 3-28 loss. Pierce displayed no signs of awakening from both sides of the football Saturday night.
The soccer team starts a new winning streak with a 4-0 win at College of the Canyons Friday. The Brahmas are now 11-3-2 and in first place in the standings. Pierce's only loss last season was to the Cougars. Many of the players were nervous because of the personal rivary that has been formed in the last two seasons.
