CONSTRUCTION The various construction projects scattered around campus will all contribute to what construction director David Tsao calls a “brand new facelift” for Pierce College. It was a busy year for building, since the new projects have completed the design stage and have begun to be physically realized.
A child was airlifted out of Pierce College after a Los Angeles Fire Department helicopter landed on the soccer field around 7:15 p.m.

Pierce College swimmer Christina Courtney, 20, suffered an injury in her right shoulder during the swim event at the State Championships at Saddleback College. Courtney qualified to swim for the State Championships, but she had not completed two events and came back home early, according to head coach Fred Shaw.
