Baseball beats Bakersfield back-to-back

The Pierce College baseball team continued their winning streak when they defeated Bakersfield College Thursday at home 7-6 and 7-5 on March 14. At Thursday’s game, Bakersfield lead 1-0 for the first two innings until Willie Cabrera, sophomore second baseman, hit a double that brought Andrew Tapia, freshman outfielder, home for Pierce’s first run of the game at the top of the third inning.

Vet on RVT staff

The Registered Veterinary Technology program at Pierce College has one new full-time employee “on staff” now, that means the staff is serving as both an instructor and a veterinarian for the farm animals. Rebecca A. Yates has begun to work as a full-time instructor and veterinarian for the RVT program at Pierce from this fall semester.
