With the recent Virginia Tech tragedy, Pierce College students are concerned about their safety. Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University student and English major Cho Seung-Hui, killed 32 people in two locations on campus before shooting himself in the head April 16.
The new Pierce College Sheriff’s Station is up and running in a facility that will accommodate personnel of the force on campus. The new station is located between the Men’s Gym and the tennis courts and was roughly completed last week. “We expect a vast improvement with this new location,” said Sgt.

But does the time and rating give the film an extra punch or is it just limping behind its other scary brethren? Amid a student body, where eyes are predominately focused on four-year universities, the students in Pierce’s Addiction Studies Program carry on as ghosts. Pierce College, an institution not known for its prowess on the football field, announced the hiring Kevin Moore as head coach in a news conference Friday afternoon. Accumulating only six wins in the past three seasons and with the resignation of head coach David Banuelos, the football program was in dire need of rejuvenation.
