Volleyball doesn’t play to lose

The Pierce College women’s volleyball team were defeated by the Los Angeles Mission College on Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Mission College.

Mission, the 43rd ranked team beat Pierce the 19th ranked team in five sets (25-21, 27-25, 18-25, 16-25, 15-13).

After Pierce tied the game in the fourth set the Eagles finished the game strong and won a very close last set. Pierce had won two games in a row before its streak was snapped.

The Brahma’s will play Cuesta College on Friday, Nov. 7 at home. Head coach Nabil Mardini expects to do better next game.

“We play not to lose, the fact that we dropped the first two and we started playing better seems to me like we do a good job at this, but it was a tough loss because we are the better team,” Mardini said.
