‘Deck the Halls’ an unoriginally re-run

It's that time of year again! Shopping sprees, holiday cheer, and, most notorious of them all, holiday movies. "Deck the Halls," starring Danny DeVito and Matthew Broderick, fits in perfectly with the mood of other dysfunctional family holiday movies done in the past.

Botanical garden Phase II under way

The groundbreaking ceremony for Phase II of the S. Mark Taper Foundation Botanical Garden took place between the Mathematics and Life Science Buildings Friday. The garden is named after the S. Mark Taper Foundation, which is known throughout California for its donations and its work with various organizations, such as arts, domestic abuse and community development programs.

Balancing the sexes

While it might seem like there are more male faculty walking around campus, that simply isn't true. At Pierce College, the faculty consists of mostly females. The percent of female faculty and female students is about the same. The faculty has 53.5 percent female and the students are 57 percent female.
