Students who show up to school a week from Friday may find it an eerie experience. Closed gates, empty parking lots, papers blowing across a silent mall, no sound but the chirping of birds in the trees.
No, it’s not a scene from a horror movie. It’s just the sight of Pierce closed in observance of Veterans Day.
On the calendar, Veterans Day is Thursday, Nov. 11, but there will be classes on campus that day. Pierce will be closed the following day, Friday, Nov. 12.
