Rate Pierce College professor’s online

Kenneth Scalir

Dear Roundup,

I am a longtime student here at Pierce writing to let all of my fellow students know about an important resource that can help them pick the right professors for the classes they need or want to take.

It is the Web site www.ratemyprofessors.com.

This is a free Web site where people can read anonymous student posts about any instructor here at Pierce. The teachers are listed in alphabetical order. You can also add any teacher not already listed.

Professors are rated on a one- to five-point scale on many criteria, such as clarity, overall quality and easiness. More importantly, the Web site posts comments about a professorís teaching style.

You can read comments from other schools as well. It is free to post comments, and you do not need to be registered with the site in order to use it.

I wish I had known about this resource when picking classes during previous semesters. In my opinion, many of the ratings and comments are quite accurate. In addition, you can challenge previously posted comments and flag the Web master about any posts that are libelous or patently false.

I hope this will help my fellow classmates pick some good professors for upcoming semesters.

Sincerely,

Kenneth ScalirPierce student
