Academy Award-nominated screenwriters Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio are scheduled to speak at Creative Voices 2 in the Performing Arts Building, Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Elliott and Rossio are best known for being the masterminds behind the movies Pirates of the Caribbean, Shrek and The Mask of Zorro.

The discussion will involve Elliott and Rossio talking about the process of story writing and how to get ideas and dreams to come to life on the screen.

People attending Creative Voices will learn from a firsthand source what it’s actually like to be a Hollywood producer.

The event has been organized by The Student Success Committee, which is a mixture of administrative staff, students and faculty.

Creative Voices was created to inspire students and give a helping hand throughout their education.

This will be the second event in the Creative Voices series.

The first was held May 22. More installments of the series are expected to take place in the spring.

“[Creative Voices] will show first hand how powerful writing can be. Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio have used writing to create stories that have literally touched millions of people around the world,” said Donna Accardo, chair of the English department and one of the coordinators of the event.

Any students who enjoy a good movie are urged to attend this event. In addition, the first 175 students to show up will recieve free T-shirts.
