Shakespeare returns to Pierce College with a twist in the theater arts department’s latest production, “Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet).” The comedy, by Canadian playwright Ann-Marie MacDonald, is the story of a literature professor who is sucked into the works of Shakespeare, learning insights about the Bard’s genius and about herself.

The Pierce College women’s soccer team settled for their fifth tie on Nov. 6, a scoreless match against Glendale College at Satoris Field in Glendale. The Brahmas held an opponent scoreless for the 21st time in 22 games this season, but on offense, found it nearly impossible to penetrate the unorthodox alignment of the Glendale defense.

The choir, accompanied by talents from around the San Fernando Valley, performed selections from “1776,” “Fiorello,” “The King And I,” “Sally Hemmings” and “Camelot.
We Are The Champions!
The women’s soccer team is the Western State College Southern Division Champions again after the Brahmas beat the Bakersfield College Renegades 2–0 Oct. 2. in a near-flawless game. This win puts Pierce’s season record at 16-1-1, putting them in a position for the playoffs for the state championship.
Open Mic Brings Students Together
Heads bobbed and fingers snapped as students were treated to music and poetry performed by their peers last Thursday night at the Freudian Sip. The cool temperatures surrounding the outdoor stage near the Sip were offset by the warm reception given to each talented performer at the event coordinated by the social cultural department of the Associated Student Organization.
