Pierce College, an institution not known for its prowess on the football field, announced the hiring Kevin Moore as head coach in a news conference Friday afternoon. Accumulating only six wins in the past three seasons and with the resignation of head coach David Banuelos, the football program was in dire need of rejuvenation.

The Friendship Force of Los Angeles found a home for its World Friendship Day celebration at Pierce College on March 1, while thousands of others celebrated in their own countries around the world. In an effort to promote world friendship, peace and understanding between cultures, the Friendship Force revamped the Campus Center to create a mecca of cultural food, music and international people for the community to meet and enjoy.

DMV sting operation nets 16: The Department of Motor Vehicles conducted a sweep of Pierce College March 6, running a sting operation to catch drivers illegally using disabled placards for parking on campus, netting at least 16 people. According to an employee of the sheriff’s department, most of those caught were using the placards of disabled family members.
