Women’s soccer crushes Monarchs

Daniel Cromar

The women’s soccer team beat Valley College during a Friday home game, 7-0.

The final score was the second highest of the season for the Brahmas, behind the Aug. 27 win against West Los Angeles College for the first game of the season Aug. 27.

Yasmin Yahoum and Amanda Bernal had two goals each. Stephanie Cubias and Dilhani Perera each scored one, and Rachel Kove scored her first goal of the year.

The Brahmas were in control of the game from the beginning, rarely letting the Monarchs cross midfield and not allowing them to take any shots.

Pierce is now 13-2-3 for the season.

Pierce College forward Yasmine Yahoum kicks one of her two goals into Los Angeles Valley College’s net at the Pierce soccer field Friday. Pierce beat Valley, 7-0, their highest-scoring game since the Aug. 27 win against West L.A. College, 10-0. ()
