AIDS awareness week canceled

The Student Health Center has canceled AIDS awareness week due to the move of the Center to the Student Services Building.

Beth Benne, director of the Student Health Center,  explains in an email that the AIDS event was originally scheduled to occur  October 26. However, they were unable to schedule a  speaker, and offer the free HIV testing as planned.

“We will be undertaking the enormous task of packing over 4,000 medical
records and the entire health center the week of October 26,” Benne
said.
“There is no way we can do it all.”

The AIDS awareness week in March has not been canceled.

“In the spring we will bring our free testing back on campus and resume
our normal activities,” Benne said.
