Aono_budget cuts on Performing Arts department

Performing arts technician John Jones crafts a set for a show on Oct. 1, 2009 in the studio in Performing Arts Building. According to him, theater arts department has not been affected by the budget cuts because it has box office money that they make from ticket sales. “We are able to buy materials we need because we sale a lot of tickets for shows. According to performing arts technician John Jones, theater arts department has not been affected by the budget cuts because it has box office money that they make from ticket sales. “We are able to buy materials we need because we sale a lot of tickets for shows. Particularly, some of musicals pretty much support our budgets,” says Jones. He, however, says that he heard some part-time faculties were given fewer hours of classes and they may lose an acting class in the next spring semester. (Takahiro Aono / roundnup)
