A student outreach program meeting to help inform students about careers programs in accounting at CSUN was hosted on Wednesday Nov. 24 in the Student Services Building.
The outreach program, which is funded, by Ernst and Young is hosted by Yusuf Akberally a senior at CSUN. The meeting is open to all students and was a sounding board for questions about careers in accounting.
“Our main goal is to give students a focus and give them an idea of what to expect if they pursue a career in accounting,” said Akberally.
The program offers leadership courses and helps students figure out what courses to take to round out there major said Akberally.
These meetings are hosted every semester at community colleges all around the Los Angeles Community College District according to Akberally.
“We show a brief presentational video but 90 percent of it is answering questions.” said Akberally
