Brief for Football Off Season

The spring semester may be considered off season for the Pierce College football team but that in no way equates to time off from the gym for the100 plus athletes enrolled in the sport.

Weight training, conditioning, speed, and agility are the main focuses in the mandatory workouts conducted from 2 to 4 Monday thru Thursday with Fitness Coordinator Matt Hank in charge.

According to Hank, off season training is harder, and they only get harder as it gets closter to summer when the team gets back into pads and back on the field.

Aspiring Brahmas Corner Marcus Bennette agreed.

The workouts “are so intense they make you want to quit sometimes,” said Bennette.
