The volleyball team, with a record of 21 wins before this game and only 3 sets lost during the 21 matches played, added another victory to their winning streak.
Now they stand at an outstanding 22-0 for the season.
The Brahmas won on the road against Bakersfield College this past Friday.
Pierce already played Bakersfield earlier this year, where they won in three sets also.
Bakersfield is one of the toughest teams that Pierce plays in their schedule, according to head coach Nabil Mardini.
The Brahmas started off by winning the first set 25-16 and the second set 25-19.
Pierce ended up losing the third set in a tight and sloppy fashion 26-24.
“We made lots of errors,” said Mardini. “But we bounced back and took the 4th set.”
Pierce came back from losing the third set and won the fourth by a score of 25-21.
Janelle Futch had 56 assists for the Brahmas. Freshman Sakurako Fujii led the team in kills with 16.
“We played well, but our errors made us loose the third set,” said Pierce co-captain Kathleen Wright. “We need to be more consistence.”
Pierce were off Wednesday for a bye week before their next game against Glendale College at home on Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.
