The Pierce College Bookstore manager failed to appear in court today.
Kim Saunders, the Bookstore manager who was arrested on suspicion of embezzlement earlier this year, was scheduled to appear at the Van Nuys courthouse for her preliminary trial at 8:30am this morning.
Her attorney informed Judge Karen J. Nudell that Saunders would not be present today because she was taking her daughter to the doctor.
Judge Nudell extended Saunders court date until tomorrow morning at 8:30a.m. and issued a bench warrant for her.
“Tell her to be sure to bring proof of her doctor’s visit,” said Nudell.
