Club Rush to be hosted in Great Hall

The semesterly Club Rush, an opportunity for clubs to promote their causes, is approaching next Tuesday, Feb. 28, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Great Hall.

The clubs are more active this semester than they have been in the past, said ASO President Shane Mooney.

They are very enthusiastic when they come in to sign up or when he sees them preparing for Club Rush, he said.

There are also several new clubs including the Marine Biology Club and Circle K Club, which is an honor society.

There are 60 registered clubs this semester, which is more than Pierce has had in a long time, said Mooney.

The change in location this semester from the Mall to the Great Hall is due to the easier set up and air conditioning in case the event takes place on a hot day.

The booths will be set up around the room with four booths in the middle, leaving room for students to walk, look and ask questions.

Students are encouraged to stop in next Tuesday and Wednesday to see which of the 60 clubs is right for them.
