Pierce College defeated West Los Angeles College on the road 52-35 Saturday afternoon in what was the Brahmas’ first road win of the season.
The Brahmas gained more than 670 total yards in the game, with 226 yards coming on the ground in the running game.
Freshman quarterback Nick Arbuckle only had nine incompletions as he threw for 428 yards and six touchdown passes.
Sophomore wide receiver Joe Morris and freshman wide receiver Jaelen Strong reaped the benefits of Arbuckle’s great game as they each had more than 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
Pierce improves their record to 3-1, and stays undefeated in conference play with the win against West L.A.
Penalties were still a problem for Pierce as they committed 16 penalties for 126 yards.
The workload of carrying the ball was spread out with four players carrying the ball at least five times.
Sophomore running back Kenny Boggs led all rushers in carries with nine for 47 yards.
Pierce next game will be at home on Saturday against Moorpark College at Shepard Stadium at 7 p.m.
