The Pierce College men’s volleyball team lost 3-1, on Wednesday Feb. 26 against the El Camino College Warriors stretching their losing streak to three consecutive games.
After losing the first set 22-25, the Brahmas made a strong effort to get back into the game.
Pierce won the second set 30-28 after the Warriors fought back after being down five points in the opening moments. The comeback was not enough, the Warriors would also lose the third set by two points.
The Brahmas trailed behind by six points for the majority of the fourth set and with a final ace, the Warriors took home the win with a 10 point lead.
When asked about the win Richard Blount, head coach of El Camino’s men’s volleyball team, said the intensity was high.
“It felt like a playoff game,” said Blount, ” both sides cared and Lance [Walker] is a great coach, they did a great job.”
