Paramedics and campus sheriffs were called to Pierce College after an unknown injured homeless man was dropped off on campus in the late morning, according to officials.
The homeless man was found sitting in a chair outside of the North Gym near the back entrance. The man was suffering from severe swelling in his right leg that extended all the way from his knee down to his ankle.
He was examined by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The man was dropped off by an unidentified person who then alerted campus officials of the man’s condition. The man’s injuries appear to be minor, according to Officer Pedro Pineda of the Pierce College sheriff’s station.
