The Pierce College women’s volleyball team took control of the match winning three consecutive sets against Cuesta College on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
The Brahmas won the three sets (25-21, 25-15, 25-20), defeating Cuesta in the third.
“Throughout the match we played with a lot of poise,” coach Nabil Mardini said. “We were in control the entire match. We played one of the best matches we played all year.”
Although Mardindi says the team’s hitting percentage in this match was the highest all year, he thinks there is still room for improvement when playing defensively.
In its next game, the team will host Allan Hancock on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m.
