Pierce College student organizes protest march

Pierce College student Chelsea Lawrence organized a protest in the wake of Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson’s acquittal of fatally shooting 18-year-old Michael Brown.

Protesters will meet in Sherman Oaks, and then march in an undisclosed direction, on Ventura Boulevard on Sunday, Dec. 7.

Lawrence designed the protest “for the acknowledgement of racism, and racial profiling in our community, and around the United States.”

The protest march is scheduled to start on Sunday, Dec. 7, at noon, on Ventura Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard in Sherman Oaks.
