Pierce College’s Center for Academic Success will offer free tutoring during the winter intersession.
The CAS, located below the Library / Learning Center, will provide its no-cost assistance in english, math and other subjects.
The sessions take place Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in 5130 LLC. Math sessions will be between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
In addition to English and Math, other subjects available for tutoring are American Sign Language, Psychology, Accounting, Biology 3, Chemistry 60, Economics, Statistics 1, Philosophy 5 and Philosophy 20. There are also writing workshops and ESL groups.
The tutoring is free and available to all Pierce students who take at least one unit during the winter intersession, according to Zarrin Paidar, senior office assistant.
“We’re here to help,” Paidar said.
