The four-week exhibition “LA Woman: On her own terms” will open at Pierce College on March 5 and features art from Los Angeles artists such as Claudia Bucher, Mary Anna Pomonis and Patricia Mitchell.
“LA Woman: On her own terms” is a group exhibition of female visual artists who have employed different artistic forms to show their work, some of which will show different aspects of LA culture.
Collages, paintings, sculptures and photographs will be on display, along with a video program of feminist shorts entitled “Haunted.”
The exhibition will be open from Thursday, March 5, through Wednesday, April 1. There will be an opening reception on March 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. in ART 3301, which will include a discussion panel.
