Sheriff’s Deputy Al Guerrero of the Pierce College sheriff’s office notified the Roundup News that the events of Sept. 9 were mistaken.
The reported sexual assault that happened at 8 p.m. at Old Trapper’s Lodge was a case of misinterpretation.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, was in park with her significant other. The two became intimate, but ended their interaction when the woman told him to stop.
“We asked the young man what had happened and he admitted that he had made a mistake.” Deputy Guerrero said. “There was no sexual assault. The couple ended their evening civilly.”
