Sports update: Big day for the Brahmas

The women’s volleyball team won the Sixth Annual Pierce College Brahma Invitational on Sept. 26, at Pierce College.

The Brahmas defeated Bakersfield College in four sets, taking the first two (25-12, 25-13). The team lost the third set (25-27) but went on to win the fourth set (25-10) advancing to the finals.

In the finals the Brahmas defeated Mesa College in three sets (25-10, 25-17, 25-22) to win the invitational.

 

The football team went on the road on Saturday night and defeated Glendale College with a final score of 27-16 and improving the team’s record to (2-1) this season.
