Coach Nabil Mardini celebrates his 400th win after dominating the Santa Monica Corsairs in three straight sets.
The Brahmas won, 25-14, 25-16, 25-13.
The first and third sets were characterized by the Brahmas’ aggressive nature.
The second set gave the Corsairs breathing room with a slow start from the Brahmas, but Pierce regrouped and took the set with a 9 point lead.
“I don’t know how long I’m going to be here for, but the whole goal is to win a state championship,” Mardini said. “That’s going to be the icing on the cake.”
