After two losses to the No. 1 Long Beach City Vikings in the regular season, the Brahmas came to the semifinals of the state championship with a different mindset.
The Brahmas defeated the Vikings in straight sets (25-13, 25-20, 25-19) to advance to the finals.
The Brahmas dominated the first two sets, holding the lead from the start.
The lead in the third set bounced back and forth until the end.
Orange Coast College and Irvine College face off at 7:30 in the other semifinal matchup to decide the Brahmas’ opponent in Saturday’s championship game.
