Pierce College President Alexis Montevirgen has appointed Susan Armenta as the acting athletic director for the remainder of the academic term.
This comes after a five month unsuccessful search to find a full-time AD.
Armenta will begin her tenure in January, taking over for Moriah Van Norman, who stepped down at the end of the spring semester.
She is currently the Kinesiology Department Chair and teaches health classes on campus.
Armenta takes over in time for the start of spring sports and for the second part of the men’s basketball season.
