In a close game for both teams, it was men’s basketball who got the upper hand beating Cuesta College in Wednesday’s conference matchup.
The Brahmas were up 42-28 at the half however the Cougars scored 59 points when play resumed. Pierce would hang on to win the game 92-87.
Wayne Currie led the team with 29 points while having two rebounds and the same number of assists.
Pierce improves their record to 12-8 overall and 3-1 in conference play. Their next game is on Jan. 25 when they host Santa Barbara. Tip-off is at 3 p.m.
