Taking an early 5-point lead, the men’s basketball team kept on widening the gap and defeated College of the Canyons, 74-66, on Nov. 19.

“It was a good one,” head coach Edward Babayan said. “We beat a good team.”

Having lost two prior games, Babayan said the team put out their “full effort and that was the difference today.”

Howard Fisher, head coach of COC, noticed Pierce College had good execution and patience.

He acknowledges that his team is “still a young team,” and that they need better execution.

“We have to learn how to play two halves of basketball,” he said. “We haven’t done that yet.”
