Taking time to manage time
Setting priorities and effectively managing time is the topic of a seminar tomorrow, 1-3 p.m. in the Sociology Building, Room 1107. The time management seminar is part of a series of ‘Student Success Workshops’ offered through the Counseling department that are designed to help Pierce students have a more successful college experience.
Party Poopers
Maybe I just like to party. Maybe I spend too much time going out when I should be studying. I’m probably one of those crazed young adults who comes home late at night and then gives my teacher an excuse about why I don’t have my homework. Or maybe not.
Inform, then contain
Last week, when the demolition work began on the bungalows, few at Pierce seemed to bat an eye. But, the front page photo that this newspaper ran showing asbestos warning signs and quoting a crew supervisor as saying that the asbestos was going to the dump, reportedly caused an uproar among College officials.

Clean the *@!#ing restrooms, pretty please
With such horrible conditions in the women’s restrooms including up to one inch of water on floors at times, no toilet paper in the stalls and scratched-up mirrors, the question is, “Who is responsible?” Careless female students, custodians neglecting their duties, or the lack of funds enabling campus maintenance? Health concerns arise and just to see the football field in better condition than one of the most likely visited places during school hours is appalling to everyone who notices.
Flying high
The title of a feature article in this month’s SOARING magazine, “The Outlandish 1,,” seems more than fitting for its author, former Pierce College student George Constantin. While a student at Pierce in 1988, Constantin “buzzed” the campus in a single-engine private plane.
