It was a clear cool evening Saturday at Shepard Stadium, but apparently a hot and hazy one on the field for the Brahmas, facing the College of the Canyon’s Cougars with a 53-17 loss. Unfortunately, a key mistake in the game was the Brahmas defense, ranked 13 in rushing defense in the Western State Conference, which allowed Canyon’s Cougars offensive team, ranked number two in the WSC, earn the win.

Two opposites face off in forum debate
What started as a calm and informative night ended in a heated discussion with a pending debate at the Proposition and Candidate forum Thursday in the Pierce College Campus Center. The event was sponsored by the Women’s Organization Coalition collaboration with Pierce.
V.P. honored for Enterprising work
Pierce College hasn’t always been the thriving, successful and economically established school that it is today. Recently honored with the Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Service to the Los Angeles Community College District, Vice President of Economic Development Tom Oliver, former interim president from 2004 to 2006, helped raise the school’s decreasing student enrollment numbers and formulated an educated master plan to assist in the million-dollar deficit hole into which Pierce had fallen.

The best 7 years of my life.” To add insult to injury was the drawing of an overly gleeful middle-aged man accompanying the impertinent line. But if you’re like me, this quote, however relatable and sometimes embarrassing, is completely true.

History Professor Richard McMillan was recently honored by former student Mario Corona, 29, at the San Fernando Valley Faith Committee’s annual community summit. McMillan and several other teachers who helped inspire Corona, received a certificate of appreciation.

Bakersfield College held Pierce College’s Women’s soccer team to a 0-0 tie on Friday. The Brahmas had plenty of scoring chances in the first half, but they could not put in the back of the net. “We are frustrated and had our opportunities,” said Coach Adolfo Perez.
