Pierce baseball team trounces Antelope Valley College
The baseball bats have been on fire this young season, and Tuesday was no different. Pierce scored 14 runs en-route to a home opening “W” in the win column.

Pierce baseball loses close game to Bakersfield
The baseball team fell short of a victory Thursday, losing 10-9 to Bakersfield in one of the closest games of the season, according to head coach Joe Arnold. Pierce has now fallen four games behind, which makes it very crucial for them to do well in their next few games to clench a playoff spot.
Late game catch-up doesn’t save Brahmas
Trailing by as many as 12 runs early in the March 20 game, the Pierce College baseball team battled back the San Bernardino Valley College Wolverines, but lost 16-12. The game marks the end of the Western State Conference spring break tournament, which resulted in three losses – of three games played – for the Brahmas.

Pierce College locked horns with the Oilers of West Los Angeles College on Saturday at Joe Kelley Field and erupted for 15 runs, just enough to edge out a 15-14 win in a thriller of a game. Nick Devian led the way with a walk-off base hit up the middle in the last of the ninth.

Baseball 3-5 in standings at week’s end:
The Brahmas battled the Renegades of Bakersfield College Thursday, with the game ending 9-6 in favor of the Renegades. Pierce College is now 3-4 across their last seven games, which date back to Feb. 21. “We left it all on the field today and unfortunately we didn’t play well enough to win,” said Joe Arnold, head coach of the Brahmas.
