About five years ago, my grandma kept a serious secret from the family. We usually don’t keep secrets because our entire family is really close. For some reason, grandma felt that this time, we shouldn’t know. Grandma and Grandpa live in Las Vegas, which is hours away from half of the family.

Brahmas come out on top, again
The women’s volleyball team took first in the 23rd Annual San Diego Mesa Invitational on Sept. 19 and 20. They beat Riverside and College of the Canyons the first day, winning all three sets in each game. On the second day, they faced El Camino College, which proved to be the most challenging game. The Brahmas had lost to them in the finals of this tournament last year, and again when they played them in a match just weeks ago. Revenge was sweet when the Brahmas were able to beat El Camino College in four sets, taking them to the finals where they defeated Glendale Arizona in three sets.

The Pierce College football team played Allan Hancock on September 20. The ending score was a loss 3-35.

Glorious soccer team are back
They are back: The Pierce College glorious women’s soccer team comes back in full force with 6 returners and fourteen new players who are joining the already stirring reputation of the women’s soccer team. Head coach, Adolfo Perez has been training with these amazing women for 8 years now at Pierce College and is hoping for another great season.
Football team ready to turn things around
The Pierce football season has begun with a rough start. Losing the first two games against Moorpark and Fullerton and losing the starting quarterback, Justin Collins, to a broken femur injury. “We lost 13 starters the first game due to eligibility issues like transcripts not coming in on time,” said Pierce head coach Efrain Martinez, “but we hope to have a few back.
