Vice president of Administrative Services to leave Pierce

The vice president of Administrative Services will be leaving Pierce College in Feburary.

Ken Takeda accepted an offer in his same position at West Los Angeles College.

He will be beginning his new post Feb. 1.

Takeda will succeed John Oester, who is retiring at the end of January.

Takeda has served as vice president of Administrative Services at Pierce since March 2007.

When Takeda first assumed his position his current position, the college was in the middle of its accreditation year.

Ironically. he will be arriving at West LA College in the middle of theirs.

“Pierce was in good shape when I got here and hopefully it will be in better shape when I leave,” said Takeda.
