“We played very well. We played a lot of players. Everybody contributed in the win,” Mardini said. “We definitely served the ball well and we passed. They did a good job.”

A game dominated by Pierce, players such as Natalie Livermore and Brittani Elser stepped up for the Brahmas, Livermore having eight kills.

Pierce Head Coach Mardini said he felt that Pierce played a very solid match and they didn’t have a weak point.

As the game concluded, Mardini talked to his players and said that “they took care of business.”

“They did not play down at all,” Mardini said. “Now we need to focus on Cuesta and move on.”

The Pierce volleyball team’s next game will be at home on Friday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m. as they play host to Cuesta College in the South Gym.
