Freshman were not the only newcomers welcomed to Pierce College as 18 new administrators and faculty were welcomed to campus on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
Of the new hires, four were taken into administration positions for the college.
Sheri Berger, Vice President of Academic Affairs , is coming to Pierce from Valley College where she previously served as Dean of Academic Affairs.
Vice President of Student Services position will be filled by Earic Dixon-Peters who has 17 years of higher education experience, and has served as the Associate Dean at Occidental College and Associate Dean of Student Life at Los Angeles City College.
The other two additions are Kalynda McLean, Student Success Dean, and Oleg Bespalov, Institutional Effectiveness Dean.
Mclean has 12 years of experience in the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) previously working as an Extended Opportunity Program and Services (EOP/S) Counselor at LA City College.
Before coming to Pierce, Bespalov was the Associate Vice President for Intitutional Research and Assessment at Patten University in Oakland, Calif.
