Brahmas win one of three

The Pierce College’s women’s basketball team continued to struggle during the Barstow tournament losing two of its three games and dropping to a record of 1-5.

The Brahmas did get their first win over Victor Valley, 70-48.

Pierce was led by Ahlisha Henderson who had 18 points and 12 rebounds and Vanessa DeSimone who added 14 points.

The wins were to be short lived as the Brahmas were defeated by Barstow 67-55 and Mt. San Jacinto 73-64.

The next tournament for the women’s basketball team will be held at Pierce College on Nov. 28-30.
