Men’s basketball looks to win conference at home

After Cuesta College lost its last game of the regular season to Moorpark College, the Pierce College men’s basketball team has an opportunity to win the Western State-North Conference title.

All they have to do is defeat Santa Barbara City College at home on Saturday, Feb. 21.

The Brahmas are 8-3 for the conference and 16-12 overall.

In its last game against Santa Barbara, the team defeated them 92-46, scoring exactly double the amount of shots.

Santa Barbara holds an 0-11 conference record, giving the Brahmas hope of taking the title and the confidence to perform in the first round of the playoffs on Wednesday, Feb. 25.

The last game of the conference will be held in the South Gym at 3 p.m.
