BRIEF: Women’s basketball season canceled

Women’s basketball planned to start a new season under their head coach Michelle Chevalier, however with a shortage of players, the season has been canceled.

The Brahmas were scheduled to face West LA College on Jan. 23.

Athletic Director Moriah van Norman decided to suspend the season due to Chevalier being cleared late which affected the recruiting process.

“She wasn’t offered the opportunity to recruit, we didn’t have enough numbers and instead of dragging it out and hurting the other schools in the process we decided not to have the season this year,” van Norman said.
