The soccer team started their season strong as they beat Golden West College 3-1.
Forward Alexandra Meza scored two goals with defender Natalia Puccio scoring the third.
Head coach Adolfo Perez was pleased with the result.
“We did well being our first game,” Perez said. We created more chances and possibly could have scored more goals.”
Perez said that after taking a 2-0 lead, the team got a little complacent, which allowed GWC to get back into the game.
The Brahmas were without goalie Anabelle Rosas, who was ineligible. Perez said she won’t play this year.
Defender and midfielder Flor De Luna stepped in as goalkeeper. She is set to start in goal against Antelope Valley College.
The Brahmas host the Marauders on Friday Sept. 2. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.
