Women’s Soccer † Last year’s women’s soccer team can be described in three words: one win away. After a heart-breaker to Long Beach City College in the semifinals by one penalty kick, head coach Adolfo Perez has regrouped even after losing several players from that team.
A contagious smile, a cheerful heart, a little bit of experience and a learning attitude are the requirements needed to join a Pierce College cheerleading squad on the rise. Anticipating a larger squad and three teams with the necessary tools to compete for a championship, the fall semester is their time to shine.
There I am on Yoshi Island. I jump up to collect a gold coin but duck as a huge bullet attacks me. I then swing through the air, collect my mushroom and land on my green dinosaur, Yoshi. As the enemy surrounds me from all sides, I do a twisting jump on their heads while Yoshi eats them up with his big red tongue saving my life.
The San Fernando Valley was quite different in the 1940s. It was filled with orange groves, street trolleys littered downtown Los Angeles, the terms “nifty” and “swell” were a part of the youth’s vernacular and people were swinging to the sounds of Benny Goodman and Artie Shaw.

Nancy Pearlman, Los Angeles Community College District board of trustees, feels students should be more active in governance. “I think students should get active in their student government,” said Pearlman. Pearlman has been an LACCD board member since 2001, handling “whatever happens in the district”.
The Board of Governors Consultation Council recently opposed the development of certain guidelines and principles as part of a student bill of rights established in March. Why was this supposed bill for the rights of students never put into effect? Michael S.
