Domestic Violence Suspect barricaded in Winnetka residence

A man is barricaded in a residential area on the 6700 block of Winnetka Avenue after police responded to a 911 call according to the Los Angeles Police Dept public relations office.

The police responded to a noise complaint at around 7:45am. When they arrived on the scene it was determined they were dealing with domestic violence incident.

The suspect ran and barricaded himself in a residence and is believed to be armed according to Public relations officer Wendy Reyes.

“There are no injuries and no hostages reported,” Reyes said.

Police have called in SWAT and have blocked off the area between Victory and Vanowen.
